It is already a tradition that students of the Vocational Training School from Skoda work on a project that they present to society at the end of the course. These are usually prototypes that function as a mere design exercise, attract a lot of attention, but have no chance of reaching production in real life. The ninth has been skoda roadiaqan eye-catching concept that represents a fully electric camper vehicle and designed for digital nomads.
Has been created by 29 apprentices from the school who study in different specialized areas, always related to the automotive world. They also had the help of professors and specialists from various fields so that the result was excellent. After nine months and more than 2,000 working hours, we can finally appreciate this peculiar Roadiaq. As can be seen, to create it they took the basis of the Skoda Enyaq, which they did not hesitate to provide with all kinds of solutions to turn it into an office and motor home.
The idea was to transform the brand’s large SUV into a kind of van, so they had to design a structure for the roof and modify the tailgate so that it can be opened in keeping with the new addition. The rest of the float remains practically unchanged, it can be seen that it mounts the 21 inch wheels and that a special two-tone paint job has been done by combining emerald green and moon white. Inside there are recycled materials and a more complete endowment to make it a camper like few others.
It is ideal for digital nomads who can work and live anywhere for their capabilities. Inside it can be a bedroom for one person, which would have all kinds of facilities such as a kitchen installed in the back of the vehicle or solar cells that generate energy for the passenger compartment. Although the equipment It does not stop there and is complete with a wireless speaker, a shower, an espresso machine with a 12 V connection, kitchen utensils, chairs, tables, USB cables, flashlights and a survival kit.
To facilitate work, it becomes an office that has a tablet holder in the passenger seat at the front. In the rear area mounts a 27 inch monitor with an integrated docking station and camera. Nor would the keyboard, mouse or wireless speaker be missing so that there is no problem when working inside. For this, it was necessary reinforce and adapt the electrical systemas well as creating light points and additional plugs.
The Skoda Rodiaq has the drive system of the Enyaq 80x Sportline, combining two electric motors. With a front block and a rear block, it gets all-wheel drive and a power of 265 hp and 425 Nm. In addition, it has the 82 kWh battery (77 kWh net) to offer a electric autonomy of up to 495 kilometers. An interesting concept that, like the rest of the student projects, will remain a mere one off that surprises the world, but that does not have the option of reaching production.
