the forecast of an F1 boss that worries Red Bull

So far no one has been able to ‘cough’ Red Bull. Three wins in three races. two for max verstappen and one for Czech Perez. Fernando Alonso He has been third in Bahrain, in Saudi Arabia and in Australia. lewis hamilton achieved second place at Albert Park.

The energy drink team has been unreachable to date. And in Baku they could confirm that they have no rival. It will be a key weekend for the other teams if they want to show that they can be in the fight: Aston Martin, Mercedes and Ferrari.

Gunther Steiner, the boss of Haas, has stated in ‘Motorsport’ that “sparks fly” between Pérez and Verstappen: “The show is secondary, but I think it will resolve itself and, even so, now we have a good race in the front with Checo and Max, who doesn’t seem be devoid of spark, of spectacle”.

He believes that this “advantage” could be lost: “Obviously at this moment Red Bull has an advantage, but I would not say that they will maintain that advantage now for the next 20 races.”

“Don’t forget that Red Bull has the penalty from last year, this year they can do less development in the wind tunnel, so in theory they can’t make much progress anymore,” Steiner explains.

Regarding Haas, he believes that there could be a constant change of positions in the races in the middle zone: “We’ll find out at every race there will be some trade, in my opinion.”

“There will be cars that will be better at high-speed circuits, there will be some that are better like in Monte Carlo, but we don’t know yet,” Steiner details.
