Carlos Sainz Jr. he is accompanying his father in the Dakar 2023. With a helicopter he is following Sainz Sr, current leader in the car classification.
And the Ferrari Formula 1 driver is having a great time. On the first day he assured that he had passed “fear” seeing that his father’s car was stopped in the desert. “I said ‘we’re starting again,” she recounted. But he finally took the stage.
On the second day another image has gone viral. It’s Carlos’s, on a rock, asking his father to slow down. Sainz was passing through a rocky area at that moment which he reached too fast.
Thanks to Sainz Jr’s gestures, he slows down and can pass with much more comfort in a delicate and very dangerous area.

Sainz remains leader
Sainz continues to lead after the second day. The Spaniard is in front of the general classification with an advantage of 2:12 over Al Attiyahwho won the stage. Sebastian Loeb he lost an hour and 26 minutes and it is very difficult for him to fight for the title.
“An endless stage”. This is how Sainz defined the route on Tuesday: “It was really hard, yes, there were a lot of stones. We punctured once and, like yesterday, we tried to be careful not to puncture a second time, because if you run out of wheels it’s bad.”
