After what happened at Red Bull Ring between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainzwith team orders from Ferrari in which they did not let the man from Madrid pass, another tense episode has occurred in the classification of the British Grand Prix.
After Sainz let Leclerc pass in the pit lane, he regained position on the warm-up lap. And that did not please the Monegasque at all.
His radio with irony said it all: “Very nice overtaking, Carlos…”.
Before, Sainz had criticized his team on the radio for having to do this maneuver in the pitlane: “What you asked me to do It has sacrificed my tire temperature.”
In the final standings, Leclerc finished fourth and Sainz just behind, fifth. Ferrari lost the positions with the surprising McLaren of Lando Norris (second) and Oscar Piastri (third).
