What happened in 2021 continues to take its toll. Keep passing it on as far as the relationship between Red Bull and Mercedes. Between the heads of both teams. This has been confirmedChristian Horner, boss of the Austrians, who speaks of “healthy competition” while acknowledging that he has blocked Toto Wolff from his phone.
“I think I have him blocked… but it’s okay. It’s good to have rivalry in this sport,” he said on the ‘Pardon my Take’ podcast.
And he says: “It’s not personal with him. It’s from FerrariofAston-Martin… Now it has its challenges. I’ll let you focus on them.”
“We tend not to look back. We look ahead. They won a lot, and now we do it”, judgment.
Because for him this is normal: “If everyone loves each other It’s boring. There has to be rivalry, people have to cheer up.”
The truth is that they were quite encouraged in 2021, in a World Cup that was decided in the race, in the lap rather, finish in Abu Dhabi.
It was for Verstappen, in a title that Hamilton and Mercedes do not forget and that had a lot of controversy in its final stretch. Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi… and also Italy and UK, to name a few cases.
