Las Encinas opens its doors one more year and welcomes new students and plots on very current topics. Season 6 of ‘Elite’ arrives at Netflix to talk about consent and rape, gender violence among young people, transsexuality and homophobia in football, among other topics. But as everything is not going to be dramas, the series also talks about love, friendship and sisterhood. “This season is more intense, more mature, but just as addictive. And I have the feeling that everything that fans fell in love with ‘Elite’ is back in this installment,” said creator Carlos Montero.
The trailer shows us Isadora (Valentina Zenere) seeking revenge after, apparently, not having found justice against the perpetrators of the multiple rape he suffered. “I always wanted justice, but no one gave it to me,” she says. We will also see a Ari (Carla Díaz) reluctant to fall in love again despite the attraction he feels towards Nico, one of the new students and the first trans character of the series and who has trouble adapting to the center. “The last time I liked someone the way I like you, I screwed up a lot,” the young woman tells her new partner. The trailer also shows us Ari in a graveyard, but we don’t know who she’s going for. Is she a clue to what happened to Samuel or has she gone to visit his mother? Also, the relationship between Patrick and Iván (Manu Ríos and André Lamoglia) is going to go through a zone of turbulence.
In addition, with the new students come new plots such as the one starring Sara, the character of Carmen Arrufat, immersed in a violent and abusive relationship with Sergio, who is played by Álex Pastrana. She says, at one point in the trailer, that “sometimes it just takes a little attention to see that someone is calling for help,” which could be her own cry for help. From the looks of it, Mencía (Martina Cariddi) is going to be a great support for her.
