Aston Martin wants to win, like Fernando Alonso. To do this, you need a plan. No longer ‘The Plan’, but a plan in which both the pilot and the team themselves believe. For the Asturian, zero doubts… and it seems that there is none for the team either.
Because the British, for whom Alonso has signed a multi-year contract and with whom it will debut in 2023, they know which path to take and how to do things.
And that is stop nicknames like the ‘green Red Bull’ and follow their own path that differentiates them from others.
This has been said by Dan Fallows, technical director of the team, in words that he collects ‘GPFans’: “The important thing for us is to make sure that we don’t copy what our competitors are doing.”
“We don’t think so we can beat Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari. We must develop our way of doing things,” he says.
Fallows points to his team: “They are ambitious people. You see it in the new factory.”
“You see that wish to accelerate everything, to return to the grid and to be in a position to be able to win”, he affirms.
And sentence: “That is just what is going to help us. With that momentum, we will be there.”.
