5.4 million euros have been paid for this spectacular Ferrari Enzo that belonged to the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso.

A few weeks ago we told you that Fernando Alonso was going to sell one of his most precious cars, a 2002 Ferrari Enzo… and he has already succeeded: someone, whose identity is unknown for now, has paid a whopping 5.4 million euros for this coveted supercar

Alonso put the car up for sale at the beginning of June through Monaco Car Auctions and was part of a special lot dedicated exclusively to the sale of Ferrari models.

Named after company founder Enzo, this V12-powered supercar was launched in 2002 with a production limited to just 400 units. This particular unit was the first Enzo body built (confirmed by the car’s Ferrari Classiche red book) and barely had 4,800 km of use on the odometer.

All this, added to the identity of its famous owner, made this an almost unrepeatable opportunity for collectors and, obviously, has caused the value of the car has skyrocketed up to the aforementioned 5.4 million euros that have been paid for him.

The Ferrari Enzo is one of the most appreciated cars by fans and collectors. Apart from bearing the name of the company’s founder, it is one of the most avant-garde vehicles of its time, since incorporated Formula 1 technology.

In fact, Alonso himself recorded a video message encouraging buyers to buy the Enzo: “I’ve had a great time with the car, it’s a magical work of art” and urged them to “take care of the car and enjoy it.”

The Enzo wasn’t the only car to sell for a staggering sum at the same auction. Of the many Ferraris present there, a unit of a 250 GT Boano was sold for 1.5 million euroswhich is a record for a car of this type at public auction.
