Atila Sertel reminded that the Constitutional Court took a decision to enact a law on the personal rights of journalists. However, he stated that this issue was not on the agenda of the Assembly. He criticized journalists seeking to be granted the right to wear out only to Press Card holders. He stated that press employees who do not have a Press Card should also benefit from this right. Utku Çakırözer said that the imposition of the Press Card requirement for the right to wear shows that the essence of the Constitutional Court decision was not comprehended. He argued that if the issue is enacted in this way, the high court may also cancel this regulation.
