This Monday Aston Martin presented the AMR23 under the watchful eye of Fernando Alonsowho gave an interview to ‘Jugones’ to analyze their options for 2023. “I am very excited” is the first thing the two-time Formula 1 champion says.
“Winning we can almost guarantee that it will not be possible. You have to try to get closer to the big three: Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes. And be leading the middle zone“, explains the Asturian pilot.
What position do you aspire to on the grid?: “I suppose that in Spain when you are excited to be seventh sounds like a little, but it would be a huge step”.
“Aston Martin is a project that we believe can win and that is what I feel now in this team. The team has talent, the engineers, the factory, the car is well worked…“, sentence Alonso.
