Thanks to an agreement between BMW and the German Bundesliga, you will be able to watch football in your BMW 7 Series… but not while driving.
The Bundesliga, the most important soccer league in Germany, officially arrives aboard BMW’s great flagship, the BMW 7 Series (and in its electric version i7). So when you’re stuck in traffic, or standing in a parking lot waiting for someone, you will be able to watch the matches of the german soccer league on the central monitor of the saloon Bavarian luxury.
And it is that the BMW 7 Series now has a specific application to broadcast matches, match data and summaries directly on the iDrive screen. The application even allows you to watch some matches live, their narration and the entire football atmosphere.
First in Germany, then in the rest of Europe

There is a but, of course, BMW will only allow live match broadcasts as long as the 7 Series (or BMW i7) are parked. If motion is detected, the iDrive 8 system will minimize the game and only transmit the audiolike a conventional radio.
If you are behind the wheel, you can enjoy it through the 14.9-inch screenbut if you’re in the back, the 31-inch projection screen will be the one that transports you to the stadium of the game.

In order to use the video streaming functionality of the Bundesliga app, you must first have activated the personal eSIM in the vehicle. Next, the antennas installed in the vehicle will allow you to enjoy the retransmission of football in high speed 5G through your personal mobile contract.
The app will initially be available for Germany, but cars shipped to the rest of Europe, Asia and America will also receive it in the coming months. This is a pilot program that will be in testing until March 2024 and that may be the beginning of the arrival of streaming in the cars of the German brand.
