The example we are talking about is a 2002 R34 GT-R, which was used in various shots and in close-ups of Walker. Bonhams auctioneers describe it as the “only” authentic R34 GT-R used in the film, as six non-turbo GT-Ts were used for the most dramatic and damaging stunt sequences to protect the authentic GT-R.
The second generation car was supplied to Universal Film Studios in 2008 before being customized by Daryl Alison of Kaizo Industries to the late Walker’s specifications.
The conversion work included the installing a custom roll cage, a custom built dash-mounted display screen, Nismo pedals and OMP custom racing seats. A Turbonetics intercooler was added to the 2.6-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine, while the car also received exhaust upgrades, a Nismo lowered suspension and a Rotora brake conversion.

Externally, the GT-R was enhanced with Volk Racing RE30 19×11 wheels, a Nismo Version II body kit and a Nismo NE-1 exhaust. All vinyl and other trim on the car have also been removed to highlight the classic lines of the Skyline Bayside Blue.
“In its iconic Bayside Blue colourway, this modern classic is certainly one of the most notable and coveted vehicles in the film franchise most famous of all time”, has been explained from the auction house.
