In case you missed it Omoda becomes independent from Chirey to start a commercial adventure on his own. Something like what happened Cupra with SEAT, clear with its own context and intentions. Well, the brand has not yet received the initial starting signal, but we already know its second model that will complement the Omoda 5.
The model in question is Omoda O5a sedan that according to the brand will have the well-known 1.5 L turbo four-cylinder engine that develops a power of 144 hp and 169 Lb-ft, will have up to 6 airbags, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
According to the first images, we have that the Omoda O5 has a more serious design in relation to the Omoda 5. Even so, the grill is reminiscent of its crossover brother. However, everything indicates that we will be facing a car with its own personality.
The price of the vehicle will be in a range between $350,000 and $450,000 Mexican pesos, and the pre-sale will begin on May 1, 2023, prior to the launch of the brand in Mexico. Among its direct rivals we have the MG GT, JAC J7, volkswagen jetta among others.
