The Chinese brand Chirey is very active in our country, launching several products on the market, one of them is the Tiggo 2 Pro and now with an SUV.
What’s happening?
Chirey announces the arrival in our country of the Tiggo 8 Pro e+, a plug-in hybrid SUV for seven passengers, as well as the presale for it that started on May 5 and ends on June 5.
It should be noted that this truck is its first electrified vehicle and sets the tone for its transition to the use of greener technologies. Let’s see what we know about the model, but be careful, it is not necessarily what will be offered for Mexico, since the brand has not provided the technical data sheet.
Chirey Tiggo 8 Pro e+ 2024: Mechanics
This SUV was presented at the 2021 Chengdu Motor Show. It carries a PHEV (Plug in Hybrid) system developed by Chery Holding known globally as “DHT Dual Motor Drive”. This is made up of:
- A 1.5L turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine, with 156 Hp and 170 Lb-ft of torque.
- Two electric motors, one per axis.
- The total power of the hybrid system is 326 Hp and 376 Lb-ft of torque.
- The 0-100 km/h is in 4.9 seconds.
- It weighs almost 1,800 kg.

- The battery is lithium ion with a capacity of 19.27 kWh.
- The autonomy in electric mode is up to 100 km.

The Tiggo 8 Pro e+ is practically identical to the combustion model, so we find:
- Huge octagonal grill.
- LED main headlights.
- LED skulls.
- 18” wheels.
Doors inside does change:
- It abandons the double front screen, for a single display with two screens, each 12.3”, one for the instrument panel and the other for the infotainment.
- A third 8” touch screen is located on the console, which is used to control the climate control controls.
- It has two new keys, one in blue to activate the 100% electric mode and another for the hybrid system.
- It has electric seats, panoramic roof and leather upholstery.
- In the security area, it has more than 20 driving assistance services.
The limited pre-sale of the Chirey Tiggo 8 Pro e+, includes three years of free maintenance, and can be done on the Chirey site. The price has not been disclosed.
