A spectacular Ferrari F50 with barely 1,000 km and which has spent 18 years in a garage is up for auction and is expected to sell for around 6.5 million.
The Ferrari F50 was built to celebrate 50 years of the automaker and was described by Ferrari itself as “The closest thing to a Formula 1 car for the road”. Presented at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show, only 349 examples were produced, making it a true collector’s item.
Now, a specimen that has spent 18 years in a garage is coming up for auction and is expected to can be sold for about 6.2 million euros. The unit we are talking about is number 8 of the 349 F50s that were built and it has hardly covered any kilometres: exactly 1.0005 km are those indicated by its odometer.

The F50 was owned by Alfred Tan, a lifelong Ferrari enthusiast and owner of Ferrari dealerships in Singapore, who kept it in his home garage, where kept it in perfect condition.
To ensure that the odometer only reflected the delivery mileage, Tan never got behind the wheel and after 18 years hidden in his garageTan sold it to another Ferrari enthusiast in Texas in 2013. Since it was imported into the United States, it has only been driven a couple of times for miles and “occasional enjoyment.”
The F50 comes with a set of bags from the factory and a suitable flight bag for the detachable hardtop. It also includes all your documentation, including the certificate of origin from 1995.

Sotheby’s, the auction house that puts this incredible F50 up for sale, values the exclusivity of this unit: “Coming across an immaculate F50 with two owners and such low mileage is a very rare opportunity”. And he adds, “this car is probably the best condition example of the important Maranello 50th anniversary model that one can find.”
The lucky one who gets it will be able to enjoy its V8 engine, which derives from Formula 1, and its incredible figures: 520 HP of power and 470 Nm of torquea 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h.
