In previous days we presented the arrival of the Audi Activesphere, the latest concept from Ingolstadt which, among numerous technical capabilities, highlights the use of the new Premium Electric Platform (PPE). Well, this is good to mention because in the last hours, Marc Lichte, Audi’s head of design, has revealed that the brand is already working on the Audi RS6 e-tron, an electrified model that will be developed on the aforementioned platform.
Lichte told Top Gear that the upcoming RS6 e-tron will not arrive as the electric version of the current RS6 and that, in fact, it is part of a family of electric sports cars whose projects have already been put on the table: “We have already presented the designs of future electric RS models to brand executives in Berlin and they have fallen in love,” declared the head of design at Audi.

Let’s remember that at the beginning of 2021 we could see the arrival of the A6 e-tron concept, but Lichte also emphasized that things will be very different for the Audi RS6 e-tron, in terms of development, technology, and shapes; “Everything will be different, even in the space for the wheels,” concluded.
