Who would say that in the auto salons it would be the Chinese brands that set the trend? Especially when they “play at home”, as is the case of iCar, which, within the framework of the Shanghai Auto Salon, has unveiled its new concept called iCar GT, a model that aims to be a not-too-distant future, an electrified supercar that if Although it has a totally Chinese development, it maintains the constant shown by the entire spectrum of native brands of that country: show features, lines, design, shapes and even textures “similar” to what has already been seen in European or American brands; why do i say it? Well, easy, reviewing -and seeing- the list of components in the iCar:
- “Scissor” doors (Pagani, McLaren)
- LED headlight and skull designs (Polestar, Ferrari, Lambo)
- Aerodynamic work (mix of several)

The interior, although it has its dose of exclusivity and sportiness, also winks at European minimalism and sobriety.. In a two-seater configuration, this conceptual electrified sports car is one of the Asian bets to compete with those who have already rehearsed all this topic (Mercedes, Polestar, Audi, BMW, etc.). This is what you can notice:
- Steering column with yoke type steering wheel with integrated display (Lexus, BMW)
- Illuminated organic panel on the door and upper part of the dashboard (Audi Aicon)
- Central touch screen (Mercedes, Tesla)
- Very minimalist sports seats both in shape and finish (Mercedes).

Of course it is too early to ensure that what we see in photos is what will really be sold, or what kind of mechanics it will have (probably electric), but if you ask me, I doubt it will even reach production, in case it does. I must tell you that the brand will seek to accommodate the iCar GT within a young segment that will have to pay around ¥150,000 or ¥400,000 yen, something like $21,800 to $58,200 dollars; “I don’t know Rick…”
