To celebrate 100 years of one of its most iconic models, the Chief, the American manufacturer Indian Motorcycle presented a bold version called Sport, as an absolute novelty for this season.
The 2023 Indian Sport Chief raises the bar for performance V-Twin cruisers with timeless American styling and performance-oriented components supplied by Fox, KYB and Brembo.

In designing the Sport Chief, the company set its sights on performance by using the best components from the industry’s most recognized suppliers. With the KYB inverted fork, also equipped on Indian Challenger models, the new bike offers superior handling and riding behavior.
Its semi-floating double disc front brake with Brembo calipers Four-piston, radially mounted, this gives it stopping power that inspires confidence. Fox parallel reservoir rear shocks increase travel by up to 100mm and tilt angle up to 29.5 degrees, compared to other models in the Chief range.

The Sport Chief uses the same tubular steel frame as the Chief range, and uses the black Thunderstroke 116 engine (1,890 cc).which produces a torque of 119 lb-ft. Newly added are the Quarter Fairing semi-fairing and the Moto-Style handlebar. With mid-position foot controls and a single-seater gunfighter-style saddle, it offers a riding position that’s as commanding as it is comfortable.
The Sport Chief features sport “wrapped” cast wheels with Pirelli Night Dragon tires, a 15.1-liter gas tank, chopped rear fender, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition and three selectable riding modes including Sport, Standard and Tour options.
Ride enhancement technology is included as standard, with a Class-leading 101mm Indian Motorcycle touchscreen, managed by the Ride Command infotainment system. Accessible via the handlebar controls or the digital touchscreen monitor, the rider can navigate through multiple interfaces, including two different instrument cluster configurations, bike and gear information, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Using a wireless headset in the helmet, the rider can control their music once their phone is paired via Bluetooth or usb. You can also access phone information, including recent calls, contacts, dialpad, and text message history. When connected, incoming calls will appear and can be accepted or rejected directly through the system.
The Indian Sport Chief will be available in Black Smoke, Ruby Smoke and Stealth Grey.
