KIA India celebrated a historic milestone by producing its first million vehicles at the Anantapur plant; this celebration also marks the start of production of the renewed seltos.
The new Seltos is presented with a redesign, as well as with numerous safety features —among which the ADAS driving assistance stands out—, as well as elements such as the panoramic sunroof.
Introducing the 1 millionth car, Tae-Jin Park, Managing Director and CEO of KIA India, said:
“This is a great moment for us, our employees and our partners who have lived through and supported our journey and helped make Kia an integral part of the lives of Indian consumers. We are extremely grateful for your support and the love of our customers. I feel the future is bright for KIA India and the new Seltos ushers in an exciting chapter as we continue to push towards automotive excellence in the Indian market. We will remain dedicated to driving innovation, pushing boundaries and shaping the future of mobility in India.“.

KIA made its entry into the Indian market with the launch of the Seltos in August 2019., which quickly became one of India’s favorite brands. In a record time of 46 months, he achieved the remarkable milestone of 500,000 sales.
KIA’s state-of-the-art facility in Anantapur has so far manufactured more than 532,450 units of Seltos, followed by 332,450 units of Sonet, 120,516 units of Carens and 14,584 units of Carnival.
KIA India marked a significant achievement by celebrating the production of 1 million units at a special ceremony held at its global facility in Anantapur. The event was highlighted by the unveiling of the new Seltos as the 1 millionth vehicle.
