‘Black Mirror’ go back to Netflix in June and the trailer of just over a minute primes a sixth season that seems the most unpredictable, unclassifiable and surprising of all. It is a difficult series to define, but if someone does not know what we are talking about, we will say that it is an anthological fiction, with episodes independent of each other that shows how different technological advances would affect us in the not too distant future. To achieve that wow effect, Brooker explains that he started “the season by deliberately changing the basic assumptions about what to expect.” “Consequently -she reveals- this time, in addition to the most well-known tropes of ‘Black Mirror’, also there are new elements, including some that I had previously sworn the series would never do, to expand the parameters of what is a ”Black Mirror episode”. The stories are still ‘Black Mirror’ to the core, but with some crazy twists and more variety than ever.”
This variety also extends in front of and behind the cameras. “To bring it all to life we have an incredible roster of disgustingly skilled and intelligent directors working with a cast of actors so talented they quite frankly have no right to exist,” Brooker wryly.
