Nordenwagen, Porsche’s representative in Argentina, launched the sports version of the 992 generation. We are talking about the Porsche 911 GT3, the seventh generation of the legendary model that stands out for its large rear spoiler, its air intakes on the hood, its wheels with mononut adjustment and a blue paint that draws a lot of attention.
The 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 measures 4.57 meters in length, 1.85 meters in width and 1.27 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.45 meters.

Porsche spent more than 160 hours in the wind tunnel, did 600 emissions tests, and its engine spent more than 22,000 hours on the test bench. But Porsche engineers also worked hard on the weight of the vehicle, for which they used carbon fiber reinforced plastic that was used on the hood and rear spoiler, in addition to the roof made of the same material, resulting in a weight 1,418 kg for the manual gearbox version and 1,435 kg for the version with the PDK automatic gearbox.
The window, the brake discs and the starter battery were other elements that received changes to lighten their weight. With all this work, a weight/power ratio of 2.8 kilos per horsepower was achieved with the manual gearbox.

Porsche maintains its atmospheric impeller with just over 10 horsepower compared to the previous model. It is a six-cylinder boxer with a displacement of 4.0 liters that produces 510 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, as well as a maximum torque of 470 Nm, associated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
For the manual version, this propeller allows you to reach 320 kilometers / hour and accelerate from 0 to 100 in 3.9 seconds, while the automatic reaches 318 kilometers / hour and goes from 0 to 100 in 3.4 seconds,
The buyer of a Porsche GT3 will not care much about consumption, but we will mention it here as well. The 911 GT3 with a manual transmission consumes 13.3 liters per 100 kilometers, while the automatic registers 12.4 liters.
The brakes have grown in size to increase stopping power: the front ones have a diameter of 408 millimeters instead of 380 millimeters, while the rear ones remain unchanged at 380 millimeters. Both are splined and ventilated aluminum monobloc discs. The front ones have six pistons and the rear ones, four; guaranteeing resistance to fatigue.
Another novelty of the Porsche 911 GT3 is the front suspension, which is no longer the MacPherson strut that was equipped until now. It now has a suspension system with double wishbones and Multilink suspension on the rear axle that is equipped with steerable wheels, which rotate a maximum of 2 degrees depending on the speed to increase cornering stability. They also turn during a parking maneuver to assist the driver.
Its price in Argentina is US $ 557,000
