Porsche and XBOX join forces on the brand’s 75th anniversary

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the sports car manufacturer, an exclusive collection of the best-selling XBOX console has been created with colors based on the historical decorations of Porsche racing cars.

Thanks to the rise of racing games and simracing, we are increasingly seeing collaborations between manufacturer brands that seek a presence in the lore of video games or even create their own competitive teams in simracing, such as Ford and its Fordzilla team.

In this case, XBOX and Porsche team up to bring the iconic sports car manufacturer’s racing designs to the Forza (Horizon and Motorsport) franchise. In this case, the graphics also reach the physical consoles themselves and their devices. This summer the following versions of the console can be seen at the main automotive and gamer-themed events:

  • Porsche 911 GT1: The winning car of the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans lends its colors to the special edition of the Xbox.
  • porsche-hippie: this decoration present on the 917 LH from 1970 was striking due to its “hippie” style drawing in blue and green colours. A racing car like no other.
  • Porsche Pink Pig: a pink competition vehicle, with a design that exposed the butcher cuts of the pig. This 1971 917/20 livery has achieved cult status over the years.
  • Porsche Salzburg: Red and white paint characterizes the 917 KH that gave Porsche its first overall victory at Le Mans in 1970.
  • Porsche Racing Edition: the mythical livery of the long-tailed 935/78, colloquially known as “Moby Dick”, could not be missing from this special collection.
  • Porsche 75th Anniversary: This design is a tribute to some of Porsche’s most famous racing colors and has been present on the Porsche 963s that have competed at Le Mans this year.

Now, did you want to get a unit? Well, they won’t be for sale… Is there a raffle? Yes, but with conditions. If you live in the US, UK or Germany you can participate in the draw for a unit on this website from June 8 to October 1. Complicated, but not impossible.

We leave you a photo gallery so you can see these designs in more detail and opt for one, we wish you luck. Good luck.
