The new Marina Pack packages for the Seat Arona and the Seat Ibiza are committed to sustainability and the circular economy.
Seat is committed to sustainability and the circular economy with the new Marina Pack packages for its Ibiza and Arona models.
According to the Spanish brand, the utility vehicle and the small SUV in the range already used recycled materials in their construction, but now this commitment to the environment is reinforced with the use of recycled marine materials such as SEAQUAL® YARNwhich are present in the door trim and seat upholstery.
They will go into production from June 2023

This textile technology is included in the Marina Pack packages, which will be available for the Style finish of the Seat Ibiza, and in the Style and X-Perience of the Seat Arona. At the same time, both vehicles in the Seat range will use the marine fiber LABEL blue by BORGERS®which from now on will be present both on the floor and on the mats in all trim levels.
With this release, the Spanish brand is committed to the use of sustainable and recycled materials with the goal of reducing the manufacture of petroleum-based plastics and removing millions of plastic bottles from the ocean.
SEAQUAL INITIATIVE and BORGERS® are two organizations that are in charge of collectthrough a cleaning program, the garbage that accumulates on the beacheson sea surfaces and bottoms, as well as in rivers and estuaries.
After sorting, the plastic is cleaned and used to create materials such as SEAQUAL® YARN, which is used in seat upholstery, and LABEL blue by BORGERS®, which are polyester marine fibers used in the manufacture of interior flooring and mats.

At the same time, both Ibiza and Arona add to their range the new 43 cm (17”) Sport Black wheelsexclusive to the Marina Pack, which will go into production from June 2023.
