The month of April has begun giving a breather to those looking for new cars, with a moderation of prices, the first we see throughout the year. But the data in our latest price report doesn’t lie: brand new vehicles are a bit cheaper.
As we explained to you, do not expect demolition rates. The electrification of the ranges has made the cars more expensive, while the equipment is more complete. But after so many months of continuous increases, this small reduction is a surprise, hoping that it is a turning point.
Obviously, the automobile sector was not going to escape the inflation that underlies the entire economy. But little by little, the problems that the pandemic brought about in the form of production stoppages, lack of components or bottlenecks in distribution are being overcome. In short: there are more cars available and it is more likely to find discounts.
And you can see it. In fact, the average discount that we find in the offers published by the dealers (difference between the PVP announced by the manufacturer with that of the advertisement), reaches 8.83%. They are not the double-digit figures of yesteryear, but they are the highest of the year (which until now was January, with 8.74%). This average discount varies greatly depending on the size and body of the vehicle, as you can see in this table:

Change the third position of the podium, now occupied by the Fiat Panda instead of the Fiat 500 (with good discounts on the hybrid and electric version).

And be careful with the MG HS, which, in addition to its low price, already adds discounts to overtake the Kia Sportage.
