The 50 best discounted cars of January

The 50 best discounted cars of January

We announced it last week (although they won’t give us a Pulitzer for it): New car prices start the year with increases. In a context like the current one, where supply problems persist and with rising prices of raw materials and other aspects of our lives, with inflation not seen in decades, the fact that cars are more expensive is not surprising news. .

At the same time the market is changing. There are more and more sales to companies, with renting gaining space and other formulas to gain access to a vehicle. It also seems that the weight of the dealer as a price setter will gradually decline. But by the hour the bulk of sales continues to be traditional sales, with dealers trying to outbid rivals with more attractive prices, discounting the manufacturer’s recommended prices.

Every month we take the pulse of those average discounts that dealers make. They vary depending on the objectives, product availability (or if there is a lot of stock to dispatch). These variables mean that the average discounts are in January of the 8.74%, when in December they were 9.61%. Practically a drop of one point, staying at November levels.

That average dealer discount changes a lot depending on the type of vehicle you’re looking for, as we break it down in this table:

This study is carried out based on thousands of specific offers at a specific moment. You should contact the dealership that makes it for receive more information, since they may include some clauses (or have already sold the car to which the offer in question corresponds). It may happen that the offer you are interested in is made by a dealer too far from your home… in that case, don’t worry, because coches.com informs you of which dealer in your province (and one of the closest ones) has the best prices for the car you are looking for.
