Electrification is making its way into the market and reaching segments that we thought would be impossible. We have the perfect example with the Ram 1500 REV 2024, an electric variant for one of the most iconic pick-ups in some parts of the world. It derives directly from the 1500 Revolution BEV prototype that we saw a few weeks ago and it arrives for stand up to other models recently released as the Ford F-150 Lightning. He is already accepting reservations in the United States after a stellar debut in the Super Bowl.
The truth is that there are few surprises in the aesthetic section. The lines remain practically unchanged compared to the prototype, with a front that attracts a lot of attention. Win whole with lighting, through generously sized headlights, while there is also light in the brand name. adopt one double cab bodywith newly designed wheels and a rear with very recognizable L-shaped rear lights. The charging socket is in the right front wheel arch.
Although no pictures of the interior have been released, it seems that there will not be many changes compared to the Ram 1500 combustion. There is talk of an additional screen that goes on the passenger side as in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and also of a new specific software that will have new functions adapted to the electric. The most interesting thing about this specimen is that some technical data has been given and the new STLA Frame platform does not disappoint at all.
With the new architecture, more than 800 kilometers of autonomy thanks to 800V technology. The battery capacity and power this Ram 1500 REV will offer has not been specified, but it is clear that it will be very capable. It will accept fast charges of up to 350 kW and can be recharged at rates of up to 160 kilometers of autonomy for ten minutes plugged in. They have also wanted to highlight their towing capacitywith up to 4,535 kg to surpass its direct competition.
There is still a lot of information about the electric pick-up to be known, something that will come out little by little as its date of arrival on the market approaches. production will start at the end of next year 2024although as we said orders are already accepted.
