By now, most fans of the motor world know Zenvo. The Danish firm has become popular for its radical supercars, which have such distinctive features as the active spoiler that changes its angle of inclination. That was on the Zenvo TSR-S, which has been its go-to for the past few years. Now they come with a new copy that shares the platform, but has some different features. The Zenvo TSR-GT it becomes the most exclusive and high-performance model of the brand in its own right.
The first thing is to say that it is a limited edition to only three units worldwide, all of them already assigned before launch. Its price has not even been revealed, which will be above the 1.45 million euros that the TSR-S cost. The main difference is its “touring” style design and also the incorporation of the TS PowerPackwhich manages to increase its power remarkably.
The Zenvo TSR-GT arrives up to 1,360 horsepower, leaving behind the 1,177 CV that the 5.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that it has in the central position previously produced. It does this thanks to modifications like an upgraded intake cam and exhaust manifold. Also, it can run on E85 fuel. The transmission is also tweaked with a longer final ratio to reach a top speed of 424 km/h. It should not be forgotten that the S stayed at a not inconsiderable 325 km/h.
That huge increase in top speed isn’t just due to engine changes. It must also be said that the Zenvo TSR-GT has a aerodynamics less focused on generating charge in a circuit. It breaks away from the striking rear wing to introduce another fixed one that is more elongated and also has aerodynamic covers for its tires. In the interior is also less radical. Whereas before it was all carbon fiber and Alcantara, now licenses are taken like leather upholstery and some insulating materials.
With the Zenvo TSR-GT it is clear to us that the brand’s TS platform has a lot of potential and that they are clear about their business. It is nothing unreasonable that we see more special editions of this type in the coming years, since the level of profitability they extract is outstanding. They have also announced the launch of a brand new vehicle at the end of next year 2023.
