“You can’t start behind him in qualifying…”

charles leclerc he had a terrible weekend at the Miami Grand Prix. He caused a red flag on Saturday and on Sunday he could only be seventh, well behind Carlos Sainz and stopped by the Mercedes of lewis hamilton. His accident provoked the ridicule of Helmut Marko, adviser to Red Bull.

The failures of the Monegasque in the classifications are becoming common. He happened to him again in Miami, hurting a max verstappen who stayed in ninth position (he won the race equally ahead of Sergio Perezhis teammate).

“To put it sarcastically, You can’t go after Leclerc. It was very unfortunate for Max. He went a bit long on the first lap and we should have gotten back on track sooner. We would have had the rhythm…”, Marko said in statements collected by ‘Sky Germany’.

Marko says that his rival’s accident allowed him to “learn”: “It’s about learning. We wanted to fully concentrate on the last lap and make the most of it. The later you start, the better the track is. But this time it wasn’t the right decision”.

The start of the season has been disastrous for Ferrari. The change of boss has not mattered: Fred Vasseur by Mattia Binotto. The results are still bad despite the changes.

Zero podiums in five races. 44 points for Sainz, 34 for Leclerc. Very far from Max Verstappen and also from a Fernando Alonso who is third in the world with his Aston Martin (75 points).
