A vape shop in the United States has put up a billboard that warns of a radar: the controversy is served.

Linndale is a small city located in the state of Ohio in the United States that has unfortunately become very popular with local drivers. A place of passage between two of the great cities of the state, Cleveland and Brooklyn, has a speed limit of 40 km/hbelow the usual 55 km/h that other populations have.

The problem is that it has a famous radar that has made cash for years among those clueless drivers They were exceeding, even slightly, the speed limit.

Warns of the presence of one of the most collecting radars

In fact, it is curious that a city with barely 200 inhabitants can generate around 17,300 traffic tickets for speeding per year. The key was that the presence of the cinemometer was not reported, which, to make matters worse, was quite hidden. Until now.

Planet of the Vapes, a vape shop, has been in charge of revealing this “trap” for drivers through a huge billboard that warns of the presence of radar. Along with the image of a radar and a huge text that reads “This is a strict zone of 25 mph (40 km / h): A reminder courtesy of Planet of the Vapes.”

Apart from the undeniable advertising impact of this billboard, the advertisement is justified from the store itself. «Honestly, it seems to me that (the radar) is a way to get money; They’re just trying to catch people.”explained Kari Pearson, regional director of sales and marketing for Planet of the Vapes.

Despite there have been quite a few people who have thanked them for the “tip”with many drivers pointing out that the sign had saved them from a certain fine, there have also been critical voices.

«Recently a lady called me to ask us to remove it. She even suggested legal action on a charge of obstruction of justice,” Pearson said. “I don’t know what the city of Linndale thinks about it, but I told him that we have dealt with bigger cities that have problems. We’re not going to let someone bully us into taking that down.just because a city no longer benefits.”
