The truth is that we know The Little Car Company for being a British company that makes scale electric vehicles. They are really expensive toys that bring to life such exclusive models as the Aston Martin DB5, the Ferrari Testa Rossa J or the Bugatti Baby II Carbon. Although they are also capable of creating different things such as Tamiya Wild One Max that they just presented. It is inspired by the radio controlled car dating from 1985, although in this case it becomes a full-scale vehicle.
The truth is that the project was initially announced in 2021, although it had not been able to come true to date. More details are now given on this copy limited to 100 units, from which more versions could come out later. The original design of the 58050 radio control set has been respected as much as possible, although with some of its own details to make it viable in real life. The passenger compartment has been enlarged to be able to take two people with some comfort and complete equipment is added.
Among the notable components of the interior of the Tamiya Wild One Max are some Cobra bucket seats with 4-point harnesses or a 5-inch digital instrumentation. On the outside you can see 14-inch Maxxis off-road tires, Brembo disc brakes or Bilstein shocks along with Eibach springs. In fact, the front suspension towers have been lowered to favor visibility from inside. And the overall size of the car stays at 3.6 meters long by 1.9 meters wide; with a contained weight of 500 kg.
It is clear that it is a true all-rounder, because it has a free distance to the ground of 27 centimeters and some very usable angles. With an entry angle of 34.1º, a ventral one of 28.4º and an exit angle of 50.8º there will be few obstacles that resist it. It also boasts an electric propulsion system with which it can reach a maximum speed of 96.5 km/h and has a 14.4 kWh battery. No need to worry about charging as it is interchangeable and eight battery packs are included.
model production will start in early 2024, although The Little Car Company is already accepting orders for this Tamiya Wild One Max in its first edition, which is the Launch Edition. During the next months they will also carry out performance and reliability tests, to give all their technical data later.
