Stellantis for the 2023 model of the Jeep Wagoneer brings us an interesting variant to Mexico, let’s see.
What’s going on?
Jeep brings us as a 2023 model, the long version of the Wagoneer known as Grand Wagoneer L, which is also powered by a new 510 Hp twin-turbo six-cylinder engine. It should be noted that the normal Wagoneer also opens the same block (abandons the V8) but with a power of 420 Hp
2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L: Dimensions
This full-size SUV is, compared to the Wagoneer, 30 cm longer (5.75 m) and with 18 cm more wheelbase (3.3 m). This provides generous and generous passenger space, as well as increased cargo volume behind the third row of seats (1,251 L).

Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L: Mechanics
For the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L, the 392 Hp 5.7 L V8 block is no longer used, to incorporate the Hurricane 3.0 L twin turbo six-cylinder, which is more powerful and pollutes less.
- For the Wagoneer, output is 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque.
- For the Grand Wagoneer L, you get 510 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.
- Both SUVs use the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L: Steering and 4×4 system
- Electronic power steering system has been tuned for a more natural feel.
- Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system, a two-speed active transfer case with electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD).

2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L: Design
Boasting an elegant design, the exterior conveys an imposing image with large windows and great visibility. The clean roofline and an A-line that wraps around the entire vehicle pays clear homage to the original Wagoneer. The windshield and front door windows are made of acoustically laminated glass that reduces noise levels.
LED lighting with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) flank the grille and help emphasize the width and front of the vehicle. At the rear, LED lights extend from the rear quarter panel to the power liftgate. The “Series” and “L” badges on the liftgate show how the particular vehicle is configured.
Both trucks are equipped with 22-inch aluminum wheels.

Wagoneer features a one-piece instrument panel, while Grand Wagoneer L features a two-piece design, with a piano black center bolster. This element seems to float on a structural aluminum plate that, in turn, supports an American walnut wood panel in the passenger area with a metal inlay with the name “Grand Wagoneer”.
Aluminum is another key element that covers the edges of the ventilation system outlets and door horns, among other details.
Wagoneer leather seats are upholstered in Nappa leather and include 12-way power with memory, lumbar support and a manual headrest with 4 positions. Grand Wagoneer L incorporates Palermo leather. The front seats in the Grand Wagoneer L come with 24-way power, memory, massage, lumbar support and four-way power headrests. Both Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer feature heated and ventilated seats for the first two rows and a heated steering wheel.
As we’ve seen since its launch, many of the interior elements pay homage to the Wagoneer’s rich history, such as the two-spoke steering wheel. Opening the front driver and passenger side doors of the Grand Wagoneer L reveals the outer edge of the instrument panel, which features an inscription — EST. 1963 — paying homage to the year of the first original Wagoneer model.
