The decision of the European Union to end the sale of new combustion cars from 2035 could be up in the air and the courts could nullify it. And it is that Poland has announced that it is preparing to resort to the EU regulations in this regard with the purpose of annulling them

“We do not agree with this and other documents of the ‘Fit for 55’ package and We are going to take it to the European Court of Justice. I hope other countries will join. We will present the motion in the next few days,” Moskwa explained during an interview on a radio program.
The legislation, which Moskwa opposes, is part of a set of bills – labeled the “Fit for 55 package” – designed to cut EU emissions by 55 percent this decade The goal is to reduce carbon emissions from new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles by 100 percent by 2021.
The agreement was the first of the ‘Fit for 55’ package, which was to show the Commission’s seriousness in adopting concrete laws to achieve the ambitious targets set in EU climate law.
The end of combustion engines will cause “more layoffs and more expensive cars”
«The solution to ban combustion cars in 2035 is detrimental to all European economies. I believe that if today we make a decision for 2035, today it is necessary to analyze its consequences for the following years,” added the Polish president.
Moskwa has complained about the lack of study when approving the aforementioned law for the purpose of combustion engines in automobiles. «There is no analysis of the social and economic impact, which is scandalous. In any case, we are going to go to the Court of Justice in the near future with this decision.
