Ford announced an hour before the presentation of Red Bull his arrival at the Formula 1, as the organization itself published on its social networks. And shortly after the confirmation came: Red Bull and Ford will work together from 2026.

Ford’s CEO, jim farleyadded that the change in regulations invited them to return to competition: “Ford’s return to Formula 1 with Red Bull Racing has to do with where we are going as a company: increasingly electric vehicles and experiences, defined by software and modern”.
The agreement is not that of a typical motorcyclist, but it is the one that Red Bull currently has with Honda. They will work together on the development of the engine combustion, battery, electric motor and software elements, but the Austrians will continue to control the majority of the construction of the car.
“It’s great to welcome Ford back to Formula 1. As an independent engine manufacturer, being able to benefit from Ford’s experience puts us in a good position against the competition. As Red Bull Powertrains, opening the next chapter of that dynasty as Red Bull Ford is tremendously exciting“, explained Christian HornerRed Bull boss.
An agreement that will extend, as a minimum, until 2030 and that also includes the subsidiary team, AlphaTauri.
and this decision ends with the collaboration of Honda from 2026. The Japanese brand had signed the bikers agreement for that year, but it will no longer do so jointly with Red Bull as before. Something that opens many questions: Will they form a new team? Will they ally with an existing team?
