According to data from the Spanish manufacturers’ association, Anfac, these are the 10 models with the most sales in the last 12 months… There is a new favourite!
Already last year he was about to be crowned, but at the last minute the SEAT Arona hit an arreón that left him behind. However, we knew that it would soon close a full year as the best-selling car in Spain and that’s how it has been: the Hyundai Tucson consolidates its success by placing itself at the top of the top 10 new cars with more deliveries in our country. Good fault for this is, of course, its varied mechanical range, its good equipment and the evolutionary leap on an aesthetic level that it has taken with its latest generation.
The 10 most interesting novelties that arrive in 2023
Hyundai Tucson

The Korean SUV has touched 22,000 units in the January-December period (21,985 to be exact), a fabulous record for Hyundai if we take into account that we are talking about a compact model whose starting price starts at 26,525 euros for the most basic versions (price with promotions) and that most customers go for more equipped and electrified versions, with logically higher prices. In addition, as we will see below, its twin brother, the Kia Sportage, recently named ABC Car of the Year 2023, also sneaks into the list of these 10 models. Here is a fratricidal comparison that will clear up your doubts between the Tucson and the Sportage.
Dacia Sandero

Another of the regulars. This year he goes up one more position and takes second place. Of course, he is still the undisputed king among individuals… Its Stepway version gives it a special charm and the LPG mechanics also make it the bifuel model preferred by the Spanish. 20,782 annual units (almost 400 more than in 2021) support its fame.
SEAT Arona

The Spanish utility falls this year from the leadership with 17,462 units sold. However, the small SUV continues to command SEAT sales ahead of other big sellers like the Leon or the Ateca.
Toyota Corolla

The Japanese compact is another of those that are there on their own merits: a propulsion system very efficient hybrid, a competitive price and a very colorful image, especially in the GR Sport finish, are its main assets to position itself as a benchmark in its category ahead of tough rivals such as the Peugeot 308, Citroën C4 or Mazda3. It has sold 16,998 units.
Volkswagen T-Roc

The crossover brother of the Golf works well on individuals, corporate fleets and rent a car, so it is not surprising at all to see him closing the top 5 best-selling models in Spain with 16,595 units delivered in 2022. As if that were not enough, the redesign to which they have recently undergone has come in handy. Will be on this list for a long time…
Behind the aforementioned first five are the Fiat 500 (15,999 units), Toyota C-HR (15,987 units), Peugeot 2008 (15,615 units), Kia Sportage (15,261 units) and Citroën C3 (14,112 units.)
