Carlos Sainz has only one idea in his head: to achieve Win the Formula 1 World Cup. The man from Madrid is in Ferrari, a team that a priori should be capable of achieving victories, and with which he won the 2022 British Grand Prix.
However, despite the good performance of the car in the early stages of the course, later everything went downhill and even Mercedes seemed to have better and more rhythm than the car of the ‘Scuderia’.
Now, Sainz has spoken about the past year and about 2023, a season in which he wants to win. In which he has already put homework on Ferrari.
“You have to improve the car”
“With a perfect year it should be possible to fight for the title. But we have to be perfect, and the car has to be improved. I also have to improve especially in the first half of the year,” he says.
And he insists: “You must set high goals for yourself and for the team. Then we will see what life brings in 2023″.
In this sense, he talks about what has happened in 2022: “The first third of the season I struggled with the car, for some reason it did not suit me. Then I was happier and had more pace, but I also suffered a lot of retirements and reliability problems.
