Pedro Acosta grows by such leaps and bounds in Moto2 after next year he has secured a seat in the premier class. It remains to be seen if it will be in the KTM main teambut the Spanish pilot is very aware to face the rest of the course.
To do this, he has made a physical change months ago that has increased in summer: “I think I worked hard at the gym“.
“Last year I was very thin, I watch the videos of the races and I say how small I look on the bike. I have taken 7 kilos, I am 3 above the target“, he commented on ‘Dazn’. “I think it’s always better to go a little past than a little fair,” he admitted.
Although this is assuming a great effort, since he recognized that he has never eaten “in quantity”: “Last year many mechanics had to almost force me to eat because I ate very little,” he justified.
Life lesson to know “enjoy what comes and how it comes”
The KTM rider is succeeding in Moto2 at 19 years old, and that is difficult for anyone to assimilate, but not for a mind as mature as Acosta’s: “I take that I have spent 19 years enjoying everything I have given and I’ll stick with that.”
“I told my physio, look, my goal for the summer is to turn my mind into that of a monk and my body into a temple,” said the Murcian.
Pedro Acosta also had time to show his more human and fun side: “I’m like Shaggy from Scooby Doo…I am very hippy“. “I really like to escape from things, I don’t think you have to take things too seriously, that’s why you see me laughing a lot, making jokes, such,” he revealed.
“Life has to be taken like thiswho tells you tomorrow that the world does not explode and everything is over”, he assumed.
“You don’t have to take problems as problemsNothing should be taken too seriously. “You have to enjoy whatever comes and how it comes,” reflected Pedro Acosta.
