
ANDn the framework of the celebration of 25 years of Audi in Argentina, the Ingolstadt brand launched the RS e-tron GT quattro in our country, which we had the opportunity to test back in September of last year at the avant premiere in the Autodromo of the City of Buenos Aires.
The Audi RS e-tron GT quattro is the most powerful model in the e-tron family in the local market, being vital within the strategy that Audi called “Vorsprung 2030” aimed at a fully electric future.

The 100% electric supercar of the Four Rings brand achieves the perfect balance between: sustainability, sportsmanship, technology and design, presenting a resistance coefficient of 0.24 Cx, measuring 4.99 meters long; 1.96 wide and a height: 1.41 meters.
At the design level, the RS e-tron GT follows a similar approach to Audi’s Sportback line, with a fastback-type or “four-door coupé” silhouette, with proportions very similar to those of the A7 Sportback but with more stylized lines and aggressive.

Inside, the saloon combines part of the style of the brand’s new products, with a much more playful design than the traditional sobriety that characterized the signature of the rings, with a more technological imprint. It has Audi virtual cockpit plus digital instruments, a multimedia system with a huge 10.1” screen integrated into the dashboard, a Bang & Olufsen sound system plus an additional display for the climate control. The cabin was designed following the monoposto concept, with a driving position inspired by competition vehicles, very low.

Developed on the PPE modular platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, this version has two engines –one on each axle of 238 CV at the front and 456 CV at the rear – that develop no less than 600 CV (646 CV with the boost function). and 830 Nm of torque, so it also has quattro all-wheel drive with intelligent torque distribution and depending on the chosen driving mode: torque delivery to the rear axle can have priority or both equally. In addition, it equips a four-wheel steering system, which facilitates maneuverability at low speeds and cornering behavior together with the variable active suspension system.
With these characteristics, the approved benefits are remarkable: it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). Not bad for a vehicle that will weigh approximately 2,300 kilos.

The lithium-ion batteries have a capacity of 93.4 kWh, which gives it a range of 429 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle and is suitable for a fast charging system that allows it to recover up to 80% in just 20 minutes. To do this, the e-tron GT has a pre-heating function, to prepare the batteries for a 270 kW recharge.
