“I hope we have something else to celebrate”

Hungary It is a circuit of pleasant memory for Fernando Alonso. Everyone knows that here he got his first victory in Formula 1 in 2003, he’s had epic battles… Now, by 2023, he hopes to have “something else to celebrate.”

As usual in the previews of Grand Prix weekends, Aston Martin has published some statements from its pilots about what they expect. And the ’14’ has recognized that the Hungaroring is a circuit that brings back very good memories.

“We are already concentrated in Budapest. I have many good memories of racing at the Hungaroring. I won my first F1 race in 2003 exactly 20 years ago and it’s often the place where I celebrate my birthday. It will be strange to celebrate this year in Belgium, but I hope we have something else to celebrate this weekend“, he explained.

In addition, he explained a bit about what can be expected from the Hungarian Grand Prix: “It is not easy to overtake here, but sometimes there are very strange races, with unpredictable weather. We must be prepared and score as many points as possible.”

Finally, Alonso closed the Silverstone chapter: “I think we made the most of a challenging weekend at Silverstone. It was great to race in front of the British fans and also spend some time in the new facilities.”
