the new cars

Maserati Merak SS 1980

A nice surprise in this update is the recreation of the Maserati Merak SS. This car is related to the Maserati Bora and it’s a little less upscale and sporty, but gains two seats in the rear. Both models are very similar and share design features as well as some panels, an adaptation made by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign (who had also designed the Bora). It was manufactured between 1972 and 1983 with just over 1,800 units completed.

The 1980 SS version already had some revisions from the original. For example, the interior, previously taken from the Citroën SM (another relative of this model) was replaced by that of the Bora. The engine, a three-liter V6, increased its power from 187 to 217 hp thanks to a higher compression ratio and larger carburettors. The weight was also lowered by 50 kilos.

The Merak SS will be at the dealership of classics (Legends Cars) for 75 thousand credits.

Mazda Roadster (MX-5) NR-A 2022

The most accessible car of the new members of the saga is the version Mazda Roadster NR-A (the MX-5). This is a version designed for the track, with more powerful brakes, a firmer suspension and a rear differential, as well as a cage and sports seats, that is, the complete package to enjoy in amateur races. You’ll only need 31,000 credits to make it yours, right from your Mazda dealer.

Nissan Skyline (KPGC110) 2000GT-R 1973

There is no Gran Turismo without a large collection of models nissan and on this occasion, the famous “Kenmeri“, one of the rarest GT-Rs in history, since only 197 units were manufactured. Its nickname (valid for all Skylines of the C110 generation) comes from an advertisement of the time, which had two protagonists named Ken and Mary.

It was powered by various four and six cylinder engines and was sold in different body styles. It was even exported to other markets under the name Datsun. Logically the most powerful was the GT-R, powered by a two-liter, six-cylinder engine, which reached 158 hp and 131 lb-ft of torque. With the oil crisis, Nissan decided to get out of the world of motorsport and that meant the cancellation of the GT-R project.

In fact, this would officially be the last GT-R in the Skyline family until 1989, when the R32 generation model debuted: the famous “Godzilla“.

As a good classic, you will find it at the “Legends Cars” dealership at a value of 542 thousand credits, somewhat reflecting the values that this car has reached in the real world.

Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 2018

The 2018 version of the Nismo GT3 is quite similar to the 2017 edition that is already in the game, but it is based on the facelift of the GT-R, which means that mechanical and also aesthetic changes are introduced that differentiate it from the previous model, sporting more aerodynamic.

This is the most expensive car of the new ones, with 600 thousand credits on its sales ticket.

other changes

There are new Menu to complete, with different career sets

  • Menu Book 46 – Historic Sports Car Masters
  • Extra Menu 8 – Honda NSX
  • Extra Menu 9 – Nissan Silvia

To these are added two more races, called Silvia Sisters and a series of Prototypes for Group 1 cars.

Outside of competition, more locations to take photos are added, improvements in the simulation of tire wear (by temperature and abrasion) and some important readjustments in the simulation of the suspension and work of differentials.

The sensitivity of mechanical damage when there is a contact in the race was also lowered, because not always going to the plate generates so much damage on a car.

The rest are minor fixes, always present in updates. Below we leave you a video with the new cars.
